A self-custody wallet normally charges nothing to send; what you pay is the network fee and the slippage on a swap. This section says where an on-chain cost is checked, and why the same transfer costs different amounts at different hours.
Where each of these is checked
- The baseline lives on the official page
- Rates, campaigns and limits change without notice, and only the platform's page on the day is the baseline for that attempt. A guide, a screenshot and a short video are references, nothing more.
- On-chain costs are checked in an explorer
- After a transfer, the block explorer shows the fee actually paid, and that check depends on no platform's page.
- Fees rise when the network is busy
- The same transfer costs different amounts at different hours; the estimate on screen is an estimate for that attempt.
